To improve operational efficiency through well-defined warehouse capacities and stronger processes that would raise delivery performance, and enhance its brand reputation and revenues.

Stepping in as a co-creation partner…

WNS leveraged TravConsult, the consulting pillar of WNS TRAVOGUE (WNS’ suite of services and solutions for the travel and hospitality industry). Through our Value Innovation Program, we identified areas for improvement in capacity planning, demand segmentation and process design. Using TravConsult principles, we also did a time and motion study and value stream mapping of various processes for improvement opportunities. Based on the findings, we undertook the following measures:

  • Defined warehouse capacity and maximum storage space
  • Created visual controls and dashboards to access real-time information, thereby enabling proactive fixes of operational issues
  • Addressed optimum resource requirement across bottlenecks areas
  • Streamlined the last-minute offloads communication process
  • Identified 15 projects with 30, 60 and 90-day plans to increase warehouse capability and improve workforce efficiency
