The demanding modern traveler, disruptive competitors and dynamic pricing have complicated contract loading more than ever. It has become imperative for travel and hospitality firms to achieve standardization, efficiency and speed in processing hotel packages. This calls for creating agile and flexible processes to address fluctuating business requirements — and leveraging intelligent automation to manage surges cost-effectively.

The challenge for the client was…

Uplifting the diminishing quality standards of its contract loading process. It faced hurdles in driving a language-based expansion (into other European countries) and accelerating the go-to-market for critical rate loads.

WNS stepped in as a co-creation partner…

Leveraging TravOps, the operational excellence pillar of WNS TRAVOGUE (WNS’ suite of services and solutions for the travel and hospitality industry), to help the client transform contract loading through deep industry expertise and process capabilities. We executed end-to-end supply chain process mapping and deployed Robotic Process Automation (RPA) to remove non-value-added steps. We standardized the rate loading data and input collection template, eliminating queries and missing data requests.

This transformative solution was preceded by a Proof of Concept (POC) to demonstrate the efficacy of our solution. During the POC stage, we consistently achieved service delivery accuracy of 99 percent against the target of 95 percent. Post the success of the POC, we ramped up our services. This entailed:

  • Addition of new markets — US, Spain, Italy, Germany, Nordics
  • Language support
  • Creation of the highest number of offers available on the website
  • One-stop shop for end-to-end contract loading and language support

Notably, WNS successfully transitioned the process to its delivery centers in an aggressive timeframe of four weeks.
